The Story of Science: Newton at the Center by Joy Hakim (Author). In volume two, college students will watch as Copernicus's systematic observations place the sun in the middle of our universe-to the dismay of establishment thinkers. After students observe the achievements and frustrations of Galileo, Kepler, and Descartes, they'll appreciate the wonderful Isaac Newton, whose discoveries about gravity, movement, colours, calculus, and Earth's place within the universe set the stage for modern physics, astronomy, mathematics, and chemistry.

With full of life, character-pushed narrative, Hakim spotlights the achievements of some of the world's best scientists and encourages a similar spirit of inquiry in readers. The books embrace lots of of shade images, charts, maps, and diagrams; informative sidebars; ideas for additional studying; and excerpts from the writings of nice scientists.
This is a lovely and nicely-written e book concerning the historical past of science. It not only discusses science, however, the entire tradition of the occasions being covered and the way science was an outgrowth of the occasions, and how science contributed to new thought. I am unable to suggest this book extremely enough.
It is a science ebook written by Joy Hakim that comprises numerous charts, maps, diagrams, and loads of illustrations. Hakim is a wonderful writer for younger readers that invites the scholar to satisfy the forefathers of science in a very attention-grabbing way. She goes far beyond bland scientific knowledge, and is sort of related to curious minds of all ages.
Highly recommended.
We use Pleasure Hakim's History of US and have added The Story of Science. Her books are one of the best I've discovered for combining facts with fascinating story conditions, sidebars and important thinking. I do not perceive how anybody may find something offensive in these books except they have a problem with presenting factual material. Youngsters want partaking books that draw them in and engage their minds. These are the forms of books that may do that. I look ahead to getting her biology e-book when it is released.
